Paella and Rotisserie chicken…oh the smells! This is a perfect time to experience French country cuisine. Then buy a gourmet picnic meal at the Saint-Cyprien market, to eat later this evening when restaurants are closed. Lunch is a better deal than dinner anyways and allow for some great people watching. So eat a nice big lunch in town. Some vendors have plastic bags, but it’s much better to bring a market bag or picnic basket along. A single stroller is fine and helpful on the busy street. We love rambling through the small medieval town of Saint-Cyprien in the beautiful Dordogne river valley. A visit to the Saint-Cyprien market with our children is one of the best family activities we have found in Dordogne.
